PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
I have a lot of experience and knowledge about accessibility in fighting games because I play video games with one hand. I play a wide variety of fighting games, consisting of the likes of Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat 1, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Persona 4: Arena Ultimax. I appreciate the lengths that the developers of these games will go to make their games more accessible to people who want to enjoy them, as in my time playing these games, I have greatly benefited from features such as autocombos, remapping buttons, and the comprehensive tutorials. I have also faced the downsides of making things accessible by fighting against players abusing autocombos and using Modern Controls. While accessibility comes with its downsides, I am extremely grateful for the advancements in technology made to make things easier for people like me, so we can push beyond our limitations and appreciate these wonderful games.
